Frequently Asked Questions
We are a Catholic School and ask all students and families to support the Catholic ethos and values in which our community is grounded. We have children from diverse religious backgrounds as well as those who have no particular faith, all of which we respect, welcome and celebrate in our community.
Our students go to a number of secondary Catholic and Government schools once they have completed Year 6. When enrolling in a Catholic secondary school priority is given to students who have attended Catholic primary schools.

Children start school when they are five years old. At St Gabriel's we have two Reception intakes a year – at the beginning of Terms 1 and 3.

St Gabriel's School follows recommendations from Catholic Education South Australia regarding class sizes.
In Reception and Year One the maximum number of students is 25 and from Year 2 to Year 6 this number is 29.
Yes, we do. We have facilities for Out of School Hours care.
